Bugatti Veyron – built by a subsidiary of the Volkswagen group and brought into production in 2005, the Veyron was the world most expensive supercar with a price tag of over 1 Million US dollars. The Veyron was built for speed and reaches 235mph. it has a 7 speed gear box and its more recognizable design is there is no clutch. Instead the Bugatti Veyron is built with DCT (double clutch technology) which allows the gears to shift up or down in less than 0.2 Seconds. The Bugatti Veyron’s king of the speed challenge was put to the test in TopGear as Richard Hammond put it to the test. The Bugatti vs. the RAF Fighter Jet showed off the Veyron’s super car fast car status. Although it was narrowly defeated by the fighter jet, the Veyron showed off its impressive form, stamina and prowess.

Koenigsegg CCX – Sweden’s most famous and highly anticipated export since IKEA and Abba. The CCX variant comes from a long line of CC editions, and is an evolution of the CCR, primarily to comply with American motoring regulations. The CCX is the third fastest production car in the world. It reaches top speeds of 245mph and is capable of reaching 0-65mph in 3.2 seconds. It’s 32 Valve V8 engine comes with a 6 speed gear box. Its distinctive features are its aerodynamic contours and a glass window over encompassing the engine, which contains a monstrous 806bhp. The CCX means competition coupe with the X commemorating the 10th anniversary of the first CC car in 2006.

Pagani Zonda – is a fine example of Italian motoring status. Built in 1999, the Zonda is produced in both coupe and convertible forms. With a chassis built mainly in carbon fiber, the Zonda has a custom built Mercedes made 6.9ltr V12 engine which pushes the Zonda to capabilities of 220mph and reached 0-60mph in 3.7 seconds. Its design showcases the best in aerodynamic technology, not to mention its rather well endowed derier, thanks to its rear spoiler to reduce air pressure. With production figures of only 25 per year, the Pagani Zonda is a supercar as rear as they come, and an absolute treasure to own.

Lamborghini Murcielago – Spanish for “Bat” the Murcielago is the successor to the Diablo, and retains a similar style its predecessor’s smooth, sharp and well contoured chassis as the others in the Lamborghini family. It also has the trademark and signature Lamborghini scissor opening doors for extra finesse and distinguishable features. The Murcielago is 4 wheel drive which guarantees sturdy and evenly distributed traction control across all four wheels. With a 6.5ltr V12 engine, the Murcielago has a top speed of 211mph and reaches 0-60mph in 3.4 seconds.

Audi R8 – this is the first supercar of the Audi range. Put into production in 2007, the R8 is based on the Le Mans, a concept car launched during the 2003 Geneva Motor Show. The R8 six speed gear box reaches top speeds of 187mph and is powered by a 4.5ltr V8 engine. Quoted by TopGear as “the perfect everyday-use supercar”, the Audi R8 is astonishingly and masterfully built, yet sympathetic to the needs of everyday driving.

McLaren F1

McLaren F1 – showcases the cutting edge of F1 racing technology and design and has become a fast popular super car. Powered by a BMW 6.1ltr V12 engine and it’s mostly carbon fiber chassis, the McLaren F1 can reach top speeds of 231mph. It’s most distinctive feature is radical center mounted steering column for optimum visibility. Produced from 1994 to 1998, there were only 100 McLaren F1’s manufactured in total. A truly magnificent and rare super car to encounter.

Enzo Ferrari - named after the father of Ferrari, the Enzo uses Formula 1 technology and offers a 0-60 time of 3.3 seconds and is powered by a 6ltr V12 engine. The engineering of the Enzo is so refined that aerodynamic structure is automatically maintained and adjusted on its two rear flaps and spoiler that there is no need for the large rear wing commonly found on most supercars.
